Hey yall! Today (since I have to patience ) I candled our quail eggs at day 5 but there seems to be no development... maybe a tad darker blob but none have veins? Is this a sign all of them are infertile? I cracked one open from 2-3 days ago (that wasnt in the incubator) and it appeared fertile (large white blob on yolk?? is that right?) but after searching the internet, I have no answer to my question. Thanks!

All eggs will have a white spot, fertile eggs have a hazy bullseye circle around that spot. I candle my eggs on day 6 and they have very clear, numerous veins. I would give yours 2 more days and candle again. If there’s still no sign of life, it might not be fertility, it could be incubation conditions.

Ok, thanks. I can wait. I was getting mixed reviews all over saying day 4, day 5, day 9, and some websites say don't candle at all. It is so confusing thanks for clearing it up!

Just be patient and candle around day 9 i did and it was worth it see
