Ok nobody likes the bill, or the waiting room, or the specialist or clinic that treats you like hunk of meat. but over all what do you think of your family doctor, if you have one? I had to make an apointment yesterday and of course you get all the questions from the nurse like when was the last time you were here? I said about a year ago hmmmmm she says no you were last here in 2006. I said I don't need him much [IMG] . I have a mild form of Gout and I had let my perscription run out so that was why I was there.

Anyway the doctor is a country/asian type doctor if you can picture that, (all he needs to finish is drive pickup truck vice an SUV) very friendly, talks to you like a person, expains and answers all your questions fully, is cheap for a doctor. Are there very many like him left?

Oh and right before I left he said, "I guess while you here we check you out." Listened to my heart, breathing etc then he says "glad I don't have many patients like you, you to healthy, I go broke on people like you"

    My kind of Doctor! [IMG]

I think GP's are always the best doctors. I have a very good one and always recommend him to anyone in need.

Very very good. She always stays up to date on the latest information, best treatments, and will only provide medicine that actually works in a clinical trial. She's a no-nonsense type though, so she doesn't do a whole lot of hand-holding and she doesn't mince words. I gather she is not popular with other patients for this reason.

DH's ex-doctor, who was VERY popular, handed out pain pills like they were going out of style, and never ran any diagnostic tests to see what was actually wrong with DH, just said in a very soothing voice that he would write a scrip and make it all better.

[IMG] I can't find a physician who hasn't graduated, with honors, from the Jiffy Lube School of Medical Practices.

We dont really have a family Dr but the pediatrician I take my kids to is the one I have been going to since I was 3 months old. I trust her and her staff with everything. She basically saved my life when I was baby.
I got real upset when my MIL suggested I find another Dr for my kids cause they were just CRAZY to suggest something might be wrong with her grandbabys growth [IMG]

They are an awesome staff and I have never had problem 1 out of them.

I use my OBGYN for everything. I just call and they call me in my prescriptions. They are a great group of people. They know I'm poor and can't afford the visit [IMG]

I carefully selected my pediatrician several weeks before my son was born. Both DS & I almost cried when he turned 21 and had to stop going to Dr Smith. We went to him for our kids even when he wasn't covered (at all) on our insurance plan--fortunately that only lasted a few months then DH's office changed the insurance back due to huge numbers of complaints.

My MIL was office manager for a medical group almost 40 years. The current doctors have owned the practice for about 20 years. We see 3 of the doctors and they are great.
