How long after a hen hatches an egg should they start laying again?

I have 2 silkie hens and both hatched an egg on January 5, one chick did not make it. We left the chick that lived in the coop with the momma hen, she has been a very good mom! Well she just started laying eggs again, one Wednesday and one today. She will not sit one them, she did the first one for the night then pushed it out.

The other hen has not laid any eggs.
Any ideas?

They will lay for a period of time - long enough for their bodies to say, "Aha it's a clutch." Then they will go broody once again.
