How long after breeding will a hen lay a fertile egg?

    By three days after mating, the eggs should be fertile, and she should lay fertile eggs for at least the next two weeks. Two weeks high fertility, three weeks moderate fertility, and up to four weeks some fertility. Hens have the ability to maintain viable sperm in their reproductive tract.
