The daytime air temperature is around 72 degrees. Probably a little warmer than that in the chicken house. How long do you think is too long for the hen to be off of the eggs?

With temperatures in that range, she can be off for a fair while with no harm done to the developing embryos. They are tough little things! I've had developing eggs get wet and/or cold to the touch, but continue to hatch fine and on time.
