My broody hen had been setting for about a week on some eggs and then yesterday decided that she would rather try to hatch the golf balls in the adjacent nest. It was in between the time I went to work and came home. I immediately removed the stupid golf balls and replaced the eggs under her. Can they possibly make it? I am not going to put any egg shaped object in there until she is done...UH!!!

    Hi,
My broody switched nest boxes one day too. We put her back on her nest and she hatched 75% of her babies last week. We don't know how long she was off - it could have been anywhere from 1 to 10 hours! Good Luck!

What a cute little chick! I found my broody on the other nest today with the newly laid eggs. She must have gotten confused. She could have been there for 4 hours. It's 90 degrees in the coop, I hope some little chick makes it.
