Kids are excited; Monday the chicks are shipping from Ideal in TX to our home in NJ. Has anyone ordered chicks from this distance and how long did it take in shipping? I notified my local post office today.

I ordered from Ideal last year and I got mine in one day. But I only live about 100 miles away from the hatchery. Not sure how long it will take to get up to NJ, but good luck.

I ordered from MPC ( which I understand ships out of Ohio) I live in NH -the order was shipped express, I recived my chicks the next day. Shipping at MPC was 35 dollars-to me it as worth the cost.

Priority - 2 to 3 days regardless of distance.
Express - should be overnight but can be 2 days (if they arrive at all)
