How long do you need to keep chicks on starter feed?

    How long do you need to keep chicks on starter feed?

    Hi my feed bag , also my mom always fed them starter and grower till 10weeks of age. Then regular chicken feed till they start laying. Then laying mash for egg laying. Done this many years

    I assume you mean for laying hens and not broilers ....

    My Scratch & Peck starter says for 8 weeks, then grower feed 8-18 weeks (or point of lay, if you offer oyster shell in a hopper). Layer feed >18 weeks.
