I have a bantam hen I want to hatch eggs from. The trouble is, I have a bantam rooster and a standard sized (RIR) rooster. I don't want to accidentally incubate a bantam sized egg with a standard sized chick in it. I have separated the bantam hen and roo so that the RIR doesn't have access to her. How long should I wait before incubation? I've heard anywhere from 2 weeks to a month.

A hen can carry sperm from her last mating for up to 4 weeks.
