How long does it take for an egg to be conceived, formed, and layed?

    There is a predetermined amount of eggs that a hen is born with. It takes about 25 hours from one egg to be laid till the next egg has formed a hard shell and laid. As far as conception, I am not sure about the time it takes to fertilize a hens eggs. [​IMG]

    They usually have 4 in different phases of production in their ovaducts,which still baffles my mind and that some lay one everyday.
