How long to acclimate a duck from indoor to outdoor temps

Zook, how has Turbo done today?
Holly he has been great. A tiny bit of blood on a feather but really nothing. The wee duck keeping him company is good for him I think. I let the turkeys out to walk around and one kept tapping at Turbo's pen and every time Turbo pecked at the turkey. He was on guard protecting his pen, himself whatever but was funny. NO fear!! BTW its 54F and windy as heck

Hi Holly ,
Turbo did good last night. Temps dropped from 54F to 25F this morning. But I spied on him last night through the barn window and Turbo and his girl were at the end of the pen sitting together. But... she laid an egg this morning!!

First one of 2014. I'm happy she felt comfortable to lay it. Nice hard shell.

Great news on the egg! Those temperature changed are unreal!! Was all that water still there or had it gone down prior to the Freeze? Yikes! Stay Safe Zook & and all y'all round there.

No the water is gone. Because we are tidal the ocean during high winds and high tide are always at risk of going alot higher during those times. Its called storm surge. I actually have to go to the other side of the flooding today so will see what it looks like now. i can see the Bay from my livingroom but up a bit in elevation so did not get flooded, but just down the road at the pier it did. Me and the dog are around the woodstove keeping nice and warm.
