Here's to hoping that its predator protected. Just finished my new coop made completely out of recycled materials. I haven't finished the run but I've been told that you want to keep them in the coop for a few days so they associate it as their home. Anyone have advice on how long that should be?

I kept them in for 5 days at 7 weeks old and every morning went in with them and moved all the shavings around handed them treats and food and opened the door and let them dash after food out the door and back. As the food got further they got braver. Then one day I walked away and watched them through the window helpless to help out if anything went wrong. So I had the picture window removed and a slider that went up and down so at least I can hang out and see what they are doing. just being a daddy [IMG]
