I'm attempting to move two chicks in with some older chicks 4 and 7 weeks old... And my barred Rock mix is aggressive and a bad influence on my other older pullet. They are terrorizing my salmon faverolle. She's an easy target. They mostly leave the Rhode island red alone. I moved the bad Apple into a dog crate for now. How long should I do this and they are usually done in the yard but not the small coop. In the yard the littles can get away easily. Should I only sperate at night and when they are in the coop (and allow the aggressor to free range with them) or keep separate all the time? I guess I'm trying to reset the social structure.
