My poor silkies started molting yesterday....will they lay will there molting????.....and will they be like bald?????
Their laying will slow down when they molt. To speed up the molting, you can up their protein - try giving them cat food.
I think molting can sometimes last for several months At least that is what I have been reading. Sometimes it depends on your climate too. I'm not looking forward to mine starting that! Sometimes people say their birds loose ALOT of feathers and others say they didn't even notice any missing Can't wait to see what mine do.
