Would it be bad to keep them when I have neighbors? Is there any way to keep them quiet?
Call duck females can be loud. Its a really cute loud though.
Mine are fairly quiet most of the time. They call at certain times, like when they hear me open the back door, or when they lose sight of each other, or sometimes when they are scared. The males have a quiet raspy peep, so you could get a few drakes.
Broody call ducks are the loudest! They quack quite a bit.
I also had a flock of black Swedish ducks. They didn't necessarily have the volume of a call duck, but they were noisy much more often. They seemed to talk all the time.
Here's a quick video of one of my broodies.
Gosh they are so cute! Two drakes would make a quieter pair? I am really set on call ducks as they are just so adorable!
They certainly are adorable! i think they fly well though!
Recently .a member was on here saying what a horrible time they add with two males during mating season... Ducks are sexualy driven
Mabye the pen you make could be devided easily for the bad months?
There's something adorable about such a small duck being so loud.
My call duck hen is SUPER loud. Loudest duck ever. She's adorable and currently sitting on a nest of eggs.

Theyre cute but 50$ for a newborn?
Your little broody is sitting on gold!
Wow! That's a wild price. The gal I get my critter feed from gave my mine last year. I will be returning the favor and giving most of them away to my cousin. Definitely keeping a few, though. Plus, mine are just little grays. Nothing fancy.
They are so beautiful
