How many chickens can fit in this a 11 X 30 size pen? and how big will the coop have to be for that amount? Winters here are not bad with no snow, so they won't be cooped up in the winter.

Thanks for all the help!

The general rule of thumb is 4 square feet per chicken in the coop and 10 square feet per chicken in the run. Your run is 330 square feet, so that would be 33 chickens. That would mean a coop that has 132 square feet - 11' x 12', for example.

Of course, there's absolutely nothing wrong with having fewer chickens than that. The more space that you can give your chickens, the better. And the lower the population density in a particular area, the easier it will be for you to keep things clean and healthy for your birds.

Elmo is right. I should have clarified this. The areas per chicken that I gave are MINIMUMS. More space or fewer birds is always better.
