How many chickens can I fit in a 12X12

How many chickens could I fit in a 12X12 run with a 12X12 coop?.

Your run is the limiting factor...it is recommended that you have 10 sq ft per bird run space...so a 12x12 is 144 sq ft or 14-15 birds. Your coop has enough space for a lot more...at 3-4 sq ft per bird you have room for 36-48 birds. I would increase that run to a 12x30 so you can maximize your coop space.

We generally havent made the coop yet we already have the run done and just need to add chicken wire, How big should the coop be if I want 20-30 birds?

20 birds need 200 sq ft of run....12x17 and 60 sq ft of coop (6x10).
30 birds would need a 12x25 run and a minimum 10x9 coop (3 sq ft per bird) with a 12x10 coop at 4 sq ft per bird
