Hello:) New to chickens, and have a question......

Working on building an A-Frame coop. The base of the coop is 4x4 feet, the nest boxes are a separate box that sticks out of the coop, the run is 4x6. Is this big enough for 4 hens? Or maybe only 3?

Quote:You're looking at maybe 2 (3 possible if you run bantys) depending on the pitch of the A-frame.

I had 3 in mine last time... same dimensions except that my A frame was on stilts to give them 6' uncovered run and 4' run below the coop.. Unfortunately I need to put 5 in there right now until I can build a bigger coop but mine are still young.
