    Hi, all.

I bought 6 Welsummer and 6 Ameraucana eggs from Inside Yolk through this site, and he very generously sent me 8 of each. I don't have an incubator, I bought the eggs to try to take advantage of Bootsy going broody (again!). She has hatched out someone else's egg before, but I can't imagine she can hatch out 16! What say you? How many should I give her?

And I don't know whether to leave her in the Eglu with her one Marans companion, or move her to a separate cage with a cat carrier for a nest box -- now, or when they hatch? Or I could leave her in the Eglu and move Henrietta? I don't think baby chicks can get themselves in and out of the nest, though, and they definitely can't reach the feeder & waterer, I'd have to put in different ones.

    So ... advice?

    Thanks! [IMG]
