I'm a statistics enthusiast so I have been recording the eggs my chickens have been laying. Last year I counted for all of June and July. I have attached the graph. Last year I had an average of 6 eggs a day (out of 12 chickens). They were slacking because I had an insane broody outbreak. It seems chicken egg production peaks in the spring, and then the broodiness causes a decline during the summer.
This year, I have decided to scale up the study and have been recording the production of my chickens since March 1st, and I intend to keep going until December 31st. I'll probably post the results someday.
