How many eggs should I let the broody hen sit on?

I have two broody hens . One is sitting on about 16 eggs and the other broody has 7 eggs. Is that too many? Should I just let them sit on that many eggs? I am planning to move them tonight to another area of the coop. Any help would be great. This is my first time with broody hens sitting on fertile eggs.

I would equal them out and seperate them so no more chickens comes up behind them and lay more.

Depends on how big broodies are and how many chicks you want.

I am really not sure how many broody hens there are in one of the nests. There might be two hens sharing the nest with the 16 eggs in it.
