how many Eggs you get today

    Just checked, got three out of five. We are very pleased with these pullets (Red Star) we got a week ago. They were delivered from Murray McMurray and started laying the next day. So far we have gotten around eight eggs from them. We expect it to pick up a bit with time.

    My silkie hen has been laying at 50% 2 eggs in the last 4 days. I guess thats average for a silkie ?

    No, not molting. Must have been a fluke or something... things are back to normal.

    5/5 today. 3 yest and 4 the day before. I think the new pullets are starting to figure it out! I am pretty sure we got our second double yoker today. It is from one of the br babies!

    Another 2-3 months and we will have 5 more ready to lay!
