An even dozen over the last 3 days. It seems like the eggs are getting bigger after the birds were wormed, and we can finally eat them again!

Well that's odd. I thought I posted here about an hour ago but I don't see it.... Hmm. Well anyway. I'll repeat. I have 25 female birds. Ten are pullets at POL, no eggs from them today. Fifteen are year-olds, and I got six eggs. It has been very HOT here lately with a very high humidity, not fit for humanity nor beast, so I understand thdm being on vacation. A few weeks ago I was getting 12-14 consistently. Oh well. Summer can't last forever!

A third Wellie and my Blue Ameraucana laid their first egg today. So that makes 16 out of 22 now!
Two more Wellies and two black Ameraucanas to go.

Thank you. Those and the speckled one, center right, are Welsummer eggs. They aren’t that dark in person, they are about 6 on the Marans scale. The two larger brown ones on the right are Marans eggs. As the season as progressed, their color is about 3 or 4.
I edited the photo to capture the actual blue color of the Ameraucana egg but in doing so that screwed up the browns and made those two on the left darker.
