How many mealworm a rooster eat? And how often

I'm new to mealworm they just launched in my country . As dried . My roosters loving them I wanted to ask how many mealworm I can give .. currently giving 5-6 but they want more . Because I Live in india and here no pellets or commercial feed available..

My roosters eat Pearl Millet as their primary diet and Multi vitamin and Amino Acids for their nutrition once a day .

Occasional fruits , vegetables


And is there any side effects of them ?

I throw a small handful to 8 chickens and 3 ducks. So, I think 5-6 is plenty. They are tasty to chickens, so of course they want more.

You can spoil them on mealworms but don't do it cause they will slowly eat less of there chicken feed. Feed that in moderation to keep them healthy.

I've been giving my chickens several handfuls of live mealworms over the summer and they started to eat less of there feed.

So I stopped giving them mealworms so they can get back to eating there feed.
