How much land do you live on? Do you really have a backyard?

I have 1-1/4 acres, but that has a house on it! So yes, I really do have a backyard.

Mine is a regular backyard too - just right for my microflock. [IMG]

Nope, Actually we have 95 in a side yard because our house is at the back of the property.

We have over 10 acres here, so the birds are backyard, side yard, front yard and pasture.

Just a backyard... that is it. Actually our front yard is bigger than our backyard... but since our babies are somewhat "illegal"... they are only in the back behind a 6ft fence.

We live in the suburbs (yuck!), so our girls really are backyard chickens.

  9. The chickens are ALL over the place. Free Range and about half the flock hangs out less than 50 feet from the house.

They know treats may walk out the door at any time and they camp out in the bushes and scratch the "yard" for most of the day.

    Pretty smart, the little turds.

We are on just shy of a half acre. Between the chicken coop/run, garden, the area for DHs greenhouse that he is building, sheds and fruit trees we are running out of yard! We would love to eventually have 2-5 acres (or more if we could afford it!!!).
