    Hey All!!

I'm gonna get some more hens, and I'd like to know how many hens a rooster can service?

I'm considering getting 15 barred rock hens and 15 buff orpington hens would 1 rooster be able to service them? Or should I get a couple and separate the two types?

    Thanks!!

I would recommend separating them. The standard ratio is 1:10, but your 1:15 should work fine, too. 1:30, however, is NOT going to work.

OK, I figured I'd need a couple... don't wanna give the poor guy a heart attack!!

I guess I'll just build two coops then!!
