How many to a silver phoenix clutch?

Discussion in 'Incubating & Hatching Eggs' started by hecatesmoon, May 23, 2012.

  1. I have a little silver phoenix that, although I know is highly unlikely, I would like to go broody. I think she would be cute as a little mommy. She is laying her eggs separately from the other hens who all lay in the same nest box so I thought, "What the hay! I will encourage her a little and not take the egg!" I thought maybe she's contemplating motherhood since she is laying separately. So now I am wondering, how many eggs are typical in a silver phoenix' clutch?

I have no idea. I would let her have 4 or 5 . Someone else should know more have you posted on the breeds section under that breed ?
  3. Oh, no, I hadn't thought to post there! Thank you! :)
