How much are buff orpingtons supposed to weigh?

I weighed my chickens today because I need to know how much medication to give to them. I weighed them by standing on the scale while holding them and subtracting my weight from the weight of me while holding the chicken and on average they weighed 4-5ish pounds each. They don't seem underweight but I read buff Orpingtons are supposed to be closer to 8ish pounds. Are my birds underweight or is the scale wrong?
For comparison, the scale said the really fat Buckeye hen was 6 pounds and she is definitely not underweight.

Don't worry about it. It is perfectly normal for a mature Buff Orpington hen to weigh that much.

Thank you! I just read somewhere that hatchery orpington hens don't usually weigh as much as show quality birds so that's probably it.
