My feed supplier does not have grower. They have Starter/Broiler medicated and unmedicated which they call Game Bird Ration. They recommend using Starter/Broiler for 9 weeks then change to a feed that is 18% protein and contains the same calcium level as their Layer Pellets (3.5-4.0%). This is the same feed I've always fed our layers in the past. Is this too much calcium for 9 week old chicks? Thanks and regards, Woody

Too much calcium can be hard on their little kidneys.

I would go with the game bird, and toss down some oyster shell. They'll eat it if they need it.
