I need to help out my girls because the rooster is trying but not connecting, so i want to pluck/shave around the vent area. I did it with a non show silkie and did the amount I believe would help out the best. It ended up being about 1.5x1.5 inch area. Is this to much? You cannot tell i shaved it unless you pick up the bird and lift up her tail and look at her vent area, from side or top view, you cannot tell. Please let me know. I hear a 50 cent piece plucked or trimmed is aloud? Thanks so much
