I've noticed that my quail chicks seem to be growing a lot better this time around. I checked them earlier and they were 4 ounces each! They are 2.5 weeks old.

How much do/did yours weigh at this age??

I can tell you two weeks from Friday [IMG]

In the meantime, what are you feeding yours? How his is the protein?

That is what I use, 4 ounce birds are really big for that age. The feed must have put a lot of fat on them.

Quote:My babies are just 11 days old today. Their weight today ranged from 1 3/4 ounce for the wee ones to 2 3/8 ounces for the biggest. They are on 24% Manna Pro (hopefully my 30% feed will be in later this week!)
Clarifying: My babies are NOT jumbos, though.

Just out of curiosity, do you feed them mealworms?

Mine seem to like them, and it saves me money on feed.
