We have our baby chicks coming on April 22nd and was wondering approximately how much Starter food they will go through in the first couple of weeks. I would like to have a months supply on hand.
    Our list of Chicks
    2 Welsummer
    2 Barred Rocks
    3 New Hampshire Reds
    3 Rhode Island Reds
    2 White Plymouth Rocks
    4 Americauna
    2 Production Reds
    1 Black Australorp
    1 Black Sex Link
Also, is it better to feed medicated food or non medicated?
    Thanks for any insight.

I would expect 20 birds to go through 3-5 50# bags in the first 8 weeks, when they should be switched to starter. If you want the feed to last a month I'd recommend having 2-3 bags on hand.

Medicated is recommended, it will get them off to a better start.
