Okay I am trying to design our coop and run, I have found the 4 ft and the 10 ft rules. What I have not found anywhere is how much head space to give them, everything is in floor space. So my question is how tall to make the floor to lowest part of roof would be minimum to make the ladies happy? Thanks.

    2 different points.
One is how much height do you need to be comfortable when you are working in there. Most people hate to stoop or bump their heads when they are working with them.
The other issue is that the roosts need to be higher than the nests and there should be enough head room above the roosts so the chickens don't break their necks when they jump up onto the roost.
