How much should we feed our baby chicks

Hi,
We just got our baby chicks and were wondering how much we should feed them. Should the feeder just always be full or should we limit it? Also how old should they be before we can start feeding them scratch? Thanks Alot!

Chick crumb shouldn't need scratch and I just keep the feeders full, they eat ALOT

Free choice chick feed; no scratch or treats until you supply small grit, and make sure any goodies are in VERY limited quantities. My broody raised chicks are out and around eating whatever after about one week, but still MOSTLY chick feed. Brooder raised chicks will be out much later depending on the weather and your set-up.
