At least 100 sq ft in the coop, and at least 8 to 10 sq ft in the run. Id suggest alittle more space for cornish x

Quote:I disagree- Cornish X's need much less space than layers in my opinion. I've raised several batches of 25 in a 6x10 tractor from week 3 til butcher day, and I could have put more in it without problems. They mainly just lay around either eating, sleeping, or waiting for you to bring food. And DEFINITELY do it in a moveable tractor, or you'll be cleaning a disgusting mess several times per day.

You may be right but I like my birds to have plenty of space.

If you have a way to free range them during the day I recommend it. My Cornish X loved getting out and free ranging our yard during the day. They were quite active for such big birds.
