Depends on the broody. You should get an incubator just in case she give up, or isn't a good mother. Nice work separating her.my hyline brown is going broody and i separated it and now sitting on the eggs
will it hatch?
we are based in south Africa and new on chicken farming would like to get any information available to assist us growDepends on the broody. You should get an incubator just in case she give up, or isn't a good mother. Nice work separating her.
one of my hyline brown out of 560 shows broodiness i separated it and gave it 7 eggs
now is sitting for ever on the eggs
will it hatch?
I am happy to be corrected, but I believe Hylines are a hybrid breed. Bred for laying, not for mothering.
I am pretty confident they rarely go broody.
They are a great layer but not known for a long lifespan. I guess they get worn out pumping close to 350 eggs a year!
Thanks which broody do you think is ibetter and is most likely to go broody more often a silkie or a bantam ?
