I think I have a broody RIR hen, her feathers were all fluffed up when I went into the coop. (And they're was a astrolup, which I know I spelled wrong, but a black hen in their trying to lay a egg.)

Do they go broody often? This isn't the first time I thought a hen was broody and she wasn't.
We even have a hen named Broody!

Very rarely. In over a year none of my RIR have went broody.
