How often do you change the sand in your house?

About 6 months ago I switched from pine shavings to sand inside my hen house. LOVE IT!

I scoop out the droppings nearly every day so it stays quite clean.

But how often do you pull out all the sand and replace with fresh? Or is that even necessary if I'm keeping it clean every day?

Awesome. Thanks for that. I've added once already. I'm amazed at how heavy it gets so quickly so it's not something I'd want to do too often.
