how old are chicks?

    what's the average age of chicks you have mailed to your house or buy at a feed store?

    The ones I have seen look three days or younger. Around here you can get older ones, but most feed stores sell out the day they get a shipment in.

    The ones we recieved from MMH are 1 to 2 days old and the ones at tractor supply were about 3-4 days......

    To mail chicks, they have to have been hatched within the last 24 hours. So when they are shipped they are less than a day old, but when they arrive they are about 2-4 days old. Chicks in feed stores could be any age, depending on how long they've been there.
