How old are my chicks?

    I just got them this past weekend at a poultry show in Reno. How old do you think the are? Thank you for your time. [​IMG] [​IMG][​IMG]

    I was told they were meat birds. What breed do u think they are? They all look the same except for one, whos darker in color.

    if they are meat birds they are probably cornish x

    Since you got them about a week ago they are probably a little over a week old. They look almost 2 weeks to me.

    Looks like you have a poopy butt in the crowd (avatar pic). Make sure to watch that. Not sure on this, but I believe the roosters are usually the darker color.

    I believe it's called pasty butt and should be cleaned gently with a cotton ball and warm water, or with a soft cloth. From what I have read it can cause death to the chick if not removed??

    They look like 2 of mine Buff orpingtonsi would say around week old. I would get the pasty but cleaned asap before chick gets clogged up sick and die

    Oh No. Thats not good. I was looking over my chickens today. Looks like 2 out of 8 have pasty butt. I hope they live. Although i'm dreading cleaning there butts with a cotten ball. There lucky i love them. lol. [​IMG]
