How old do they have to be when you can tell their gender?

I have 4 Wyandottes that were sexed at a hatchery as pullets, so I'm confident they were correct, but we picked up 2 Cochins from our neighbor that are 2 weeks old and 3 weeks old. She told us she didn't sex them, but we can't have a rooster! Of course we took them anyway. She said that she would take them back if they were roosters, so I thought that seemed like a good compromise. They are the sweetest little things. How old do they have to be when we can tell their gender?

    Thanks for any help :)

You may have to wait a little bit longer. Do you have any pictures, though (just in case they're fast mature-rs)?

The little one is definitely too small. Here's a pic of the bigger one.

Yeah, you'll have to wait a couple more weeks until you can begin to tell clearly. Please post pictures then. [IMG]
