How old to butcher Roosters?

I have two Roosters that I have been thinking about butchering. How long before they are full grown and are adult Roosters? How old before they should be butchered? I'm not sure of the breed. When I got the eggs I was told they were Rhode Island Whites but everyone here says they are not and are either Amber Link or Red Sex-Link roosters. Right now they are about 6 months old and really big. Whats the general rule of thumb for butchering chickens when it comes to age?

General rule for dual purpose roosters is around 20 weeks. You're at prime butchering age, from this point on they really don't gain any more weight compared to the feed they eat to maintain themselves. Dispatch them asap.
