How old?

How old are chicks when they get their wing and tail feathers in? The lady that helped me at our local farm store didn't know how old the chicks were when they got them from the hatchery. So I assumed they were probably a day or two old. Any ideas?

Within days you will see feathers, starting on the wings and tail, and spreading over the body, usually on the head last. Most birds are fully feathered in by 6 weeks of age.
