How should I make a nest for my Muscovy?

I have a pair of Muscovies that are living with my dairy goats who have 4 acres of pasture and the back end of my pole barn that they go into at night. The hen didn't lay eggs this year, she was born in May, but I want to plan for when she does. I'm guessing next spring?

So what are good dimensions for a Muscovy nest? And where do Muscovies like to have their nest? Are they like chickens and want a dark place?

    Thanks

Yes, they like a safe dark place.

For mine, I just leaned a piece of plywood against the wall of the coop.

Wow, Alaskan, that sounds too easy! I was thinking I'd have to get out the power tools and all [IMG]

Nope, mine liked it so much, she just hatched out a clutch this weekend.

I did use one nail at the top, so here was no risk of her bumping it and having it fall down.

Aww, they are so cute! Congrats on the little ones. I can't wait until my hen lays.
