How soon can you sex a Rhode Island?

    Sorry for all my posts today, here is my last chick 5 week old, sold as a Rhode Island. Still too soon to determine his/her sex? [​IMG]

    Right now, I would say pullet only because comb and face are not red. However, in the lighting you have there, it looks as though some of the feathers are white. If so, it is not an RIR. Better lighting and side view with tail would be helpful for accuracy. [​IMG] My avitar is an RIR hen.

    It looks like there is still a little fuzz. I think that's what the white stuff is

    Oh yes, sorry. I have very poor lighting throughout my house. I'm going to try to take some pictures outside tomorrow. This one does still have some fuzz. Let me see if I can find any pictures from my phone (although they might be from a week ago, which may not be helpful)
