I know it is early yet (2 hatched last night) but when will Mama let them come out from underneath her to be seen? This is our first broody and so it is new to us.
Also, the egg left that has not hatched yet, will mama hen know if it is going to hatch? Wouldn't she have pushed it out of the nest if it was rotten? She keeps rolling it under her when we lift her to see the new chicks.
