How tall is a Pekin adult?

Hi,

Trying to make house for them, inbound next week as new hatchlings. Cannot find how tall they get anywhere. Lots of info on weight, laying potential, but nothing on how tall the doors need to be and ceilings.

Can anyone please help? I wanted to start building walls tomorrow!

I looked it up on yahoo answers.

And it says that they get about the same size as mallards but a tad bigger, hope that helps

My runners are about 20 to 24 inches tall. That breed can get up to 27 inches, I believe. Pekins don't stand as tall but they are overall larger - 8 pounds or so compared to 4. From what I have seen, a doorway two feet high should accommodate them.

Been quite the summer, I do not get an opportunity to read all the posts on the forum these days. Hope it's going well for you. I had trouble finding out how tall runners get when I was building their house, too.
