I haven't been on this forum in a long time! The last question I posted was to see if I had a little hen or a roo, and everyone was convinced it was a roo! But she's bigger now and I'm pretty sure she's a hen. I noticed on my first post I had put together a little time lapse of how she was growing, so I thought it would be neat to see an updated one and show you and my family. So here it is I believe she's a buff orpington. She's grown into a very sweet lap chicken. She's not afraid to kick *** either lol, if my big kitties venture too near her area she'll chase them and try karate kicking them... they know who's boss By the way, sorry for the picture overload! I wanted to squish in as many as I can! 6/28/13 My neighbors found her lost and near death 7/2/13 She started eating and drinking, slowly coming back to health! 7/3/13 7/13/13 7/30/13 7/31/13 8/1/13 Sunbathing She loves to stretch out those legs 8/3/13 8/4/13 8/8/13 8/9/13 8/12/13 Two of my cats, the chickie, & messy room! 8/15/13 She loves laying down like a human! 8/21/13 8/23/13 SHE'S NOT HURT, I promise! Just rolling around in the dirt and dustbathing 8/24/13 9/05/13 9/08/13 - 9/10 9/17/13 9/20/13 More dustbathing 9/23/13 They were getting along! Getting so big 9/26/13 Snowball got used to her! Before she started chasing them lol More laying down 9/29/13 10/05/13 I had to house sit for this month, it was hard being away from her but I visited now & then! 10/08/13 11/05/13 11/06/13 Today this morning I never expected to own a chicken, but God sent her as a gift to me! At first we were just gonna raise her until she can be with other chickens, but we grew so close and attached that we couldn't give her up! I'm so glad she found her way to my neighborhood, wherever she came from. It's a miracle none of the neighborhood cats ate her. I love my chicken!
