I have a chicken tractor 6x4 and it houses 6 pullets right now they get free range in a large fenced pen (bigger then picktured about 150sq) I am getting more pullets 5 more to be exact and I need to add about 8 more sq all they do in there is lay and sleep so how would you go about this addition? put it coming off the side or make a second level?

I suggest you go buy a shed for them.

A simple PT lumber frame and extending your chicken fencing looks adequate. Or you could try something a little larger .

I'd say level up - put nest boxes and roosts up higher....

Quote:i meant a shed with a door that you can let them out silly!!! You could use the mesh stuff and some posts to make an area for them to get out. By the looks of the rolls of stuff, you could make a good run off a shed for them.
