How to batch / identify my chickens at processing?

Forgive me if this has already been addressed - I can't seem to word it properly to get it to come up in the searches.

I will be taking different breeds to be processed - and since they cut off everything that might be tagged or banded, how do I tell the breeds apart once they are processed?
I'd like to be able to compare/ contrast breeds. (Pioneers, DP cockerels)

Thanks in advance for your ideas!

We always wondered how birds were kept straight at the 4-H auctions, and discovered this year that they put wing bands on the birds. We brought our own home to butcher and discovered that they had put a numbered wing band on, and it was still secure after scalding and plucking. I don't see any reason that wouldn't work with your birds. Maybe you can make a call to your processor to make it sure it would work.
